I remember vividly being in college and discovering Audrey. She was my first fashion role model. She was my inspiration to create a grown-up look and how to actually do it. I read and watched all that I could about her and her style. That's what's so amazing about her; even decades after her films were made, she still inspires so many with her fashion sense. Amazing.

Fashion on Film: Charade
I love Audrey Hepburn. I could watch her movies over and over. One of my favorites is Charade. One of the best parts of the movie is the fashion. Givenchy created the gorgeous outfit's for Audrey's character. Each piece is simple yet elegant, and the outfit is styled perfectly. Timeless elegance. Just about all of Audrey's movies are just lovely to watch for the fashion. She and Givenchy made an amazing team with their sense of style they both had.

Happy Birthday, Audrey!
Happy birthday to my favorite actress of all time: Audrey Hepburn! I'm not sure when or how I first came to love her. I think it was around my sophomore year of college when I was changing my style to one more elegant when I came across reference after reference of her style. Once I read about her and saw just one of her movies, I was hooked forever. I love all of her works, but mostly I love her fashion sense. She is a true style icon who really helped to establish the "classics" of fashion and make it okay for women to walk around in ballet flats instead of heels. With her, the turtleneck is sophisticated, not stuffy. Even with Breakfast at Tiffany's, she still maintained enhanced yet natural makeup, which I adhere to even today. I just adore Audrey.

April Showers
I'm not going to lie. I love rain! Love it! I love it best when I'm back home in Alabama because the rain and the trees are so beautiful together. I bought a pair of Sperry rain boots a few months ago while they were on sale at DSW, but I haven't been able to use them much since it doesn't rain often here in San Diego. I've discovered that rain boots are perfect for the beach, too. Who knew? What's so great about rain wear is that you can dress them up or be a bit whimsy in your style.
Since the April showers are upon many, and since I love rain so much, I've gathered some apparel that are perfect.

Traveling in Style
For me, when you travel, you should be stylish yet comfortable. One of my dreams has been to be a traveler, and since I'm getting to do so more and more, I'm doing a series on travel. You might remember this post from a few days ago.
I finally found a good suitcase tag! It's Vera Bradley in Watercolors. Since I have a purple suitcase, it is perfect.
My next want (in my mind, need) is a plane ticket and passport cover/holder. That would be lovely! While Vera Bradley does offer a passport cover, it doesn't carry the ticket.
So, short on time and can just get one item? The universal stylish piece to have is a trench coat. You can find lightweight material for the summer or material for the rain.
I'll be scouting for passport/ticket holders. If you know of any, let me know!!

Tiffany's
Every Christmas Day, I watch an Audrey Hepburn movie. It has been a tradition for me since I received a box set of Breakfast at Tiffany's, Roman Holiday, and Sabrina. This year, it will be Tiffany's for me. I love Audrey Hepburn. In fact, if I get a dog like I'm hoping to do one day, I've thought about naming her "Audrey." I just adore her sense of style. I actually have several books on her and her style. Yeah, I'm a fan. I have a Facebook group called "I love Audrey Hepburn," which you should join!
